Intentional Compassionate Care
Standing Together
Maybe you feel disconnected from yourself or others. You may feel like an outsider, as though there’s a closeness you just can’t quite reach. It’s hard to show up as your true self, and even when you're surrounded by people who care, there's an underlying sense that you’re not fully seen or understood. Maybe you’re caught in a cycle of self-criticism, constantly beating yourself up over ways you’re "not good enough," and it leaves you distracted, even in the company of those you love.
Maybe it’s hard to know what you truly want in life, or you constantly put others' needs ahead of your own, even when it leaves you feeling drained and unseen. Maybe you're running on empty, barely able to keep up with the demands of daily life, but when it’s time to rest, your mind refuses to quiet. And when the emotions become too overwhelming, you may say or do things you regret, wishing you could hit rewind and make it all go away. You long for more peace, more clarity, and a way to feel at home within yourself.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and while these feelings are real and valid they don’t have to define your life.
What we do
At Grove Therapy Practice, we specialize in helping you regulate and restore balance to your nervous system, so you can start feeling at home in your own skin. Think of your body as a grove of trees. When the trees in a grove are healthy and well-spaced, they grow tall and strong, their roots deeply embedded in the earth. They sway gently with the wind, but they remain rooted and balanced, able to withstand the storm. However, when the trees are crowded, stressed, or under nourished, they struggle. They lean on each other too much, their roots intertwining in unhealthy ways, and they can’t grow to their full heights or enjoy the company of one another. They may still stand, but they aren't thriving.
Your nervous system works much the same way. When it’s balanced, you are grounded, resilient, and able to respond to stress in healthy, adaptive ways. But when it’s out of balance—whether due to trauma, chronic stress, or overwhelm—it can feel like your internal “grove” is tangled up. Your body feels out of sync, and you can’t seem to find your center. It’s exhausting, and it often shows up as anxiety, emotional reactivity, and an overwhelming sense of disconnection.
In our work together, we focus on helping you "untangle" and rebalance your nervous system so you can reconnect with your body, your emotions, and your true self. Using a combination of somatic based practices, breathwork, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation techniques, we help you restore your internal "grove.” Our approach is grounded in the idea that healing is not just a mental process—it involves reconnecting with your body and your emotions in a way that is safe, compassionate, and sustainable.
In our work together, you’ll gain the tools to:
Regulate your nervous system, so you can feel calmer and more grounded
Reconnect with your authentic self, and show up more fully in your life and relationships
Create healthier boundaries with others and prioritize your needs
Cultivate emotional resilience and a greater sense of connection
Whether you're dealing with trauma, chronic stress, or simply seeking to feel more aligned and present in your life, we are here to support you. Together, we’ll help you restore the balance in your life—so you can stand tall like a tree in a healthy grove, rooted, resilient, and able to weather life’s challenges with grace.
